positioning dock plate in preparation for release of trailer
What happened
worker pulled last load of empty cans out of trailer on dock door 19. worker raised load ~3 ' to allow room for dock plate to cycle up then down in preparation to release trailer. lip of dock plate didn 't travel back to desired resting position so he tried to dislodge it by hand. at this point the plate released and closed on the fingers of right hand. he was able to reach up to cycle the plate up at which point he was able to remove hand.
