Employee presents to OHO to report an injury that occurred during her shift on [REDACTED] at [REDACTED]. EE reports that she was caring for an altered mental status patient that was approximately 330lbs while obtaining a head CT. EE reports that the while the patient was on the CT exam table with a CT waist strap he lunged to the right side and she attempted to block him from falling to the right side of the floor. EE states that when she reached up to grab his arm from falling off the table she was forced back by the patient weight causing her to hyperextend her right thoracic- lumbar area.EE states there were other employees assisting with helping with the CT scan of the patient. EE states she continued to work her shift without pain but felt some back pain after she went home. EE states she did not need to take any medications when she went home after her shift. EE returned to work the [REDACTED]. EE leader learned of EE injury after EE left work today [REDACTED] and contacted OHO.
