Torquing Retaining Nut
What happened
Employee was installing main landing gear tire on flightline @ approx. [REDACTED]. The procedure requires the retaining nut to be torqued to 150-foot pounds then backoff axle to zero-foot pounds then the axle nut is retorqued to 75-foot pounds. The employee finished the first torquing of the nut to 150-foot pounds and started removing the nut with a socket wrench and heard a pop in his left shoulder area. He then experienced pain in his left shoulder and could not lift arm without pain.
