Before the incident
The injured employee and another employee were loading a trailer of palletized corrugated product at the dock The other employee (PIT operator) was entering the entrance to the trailer with the wide load on his PIT and the injured employee was standing to the right side of the load trying to assist in guiding the load into the trailer with his hands The load suddenly shifted causing his right hand to get caught between the load and the trailer wall The result was a lacerated middle finger
