Welding piping inside a void within the engine room.

Worker was welding a 6 carbon steel pipe system in overhead position after it was previously assembled by another crew. Due to the reduced space in the void he was in worker was only going to weld the assembled piping just enough to extract the piping system out of the void without risking it falling apart. This way he could then weld the entire system in a more suitable area with amble space. As he was welding a metal slag landed on his creased jeans. This molten hot slag burned through his jeans and fell through the inside of his left boot causing a burn to his lateral instep part of his foot.
