Before the incident

Employee was working on press 1507 and was on the back side of the press. He removed the 2 bolts that hold the set of rollers in place and was lifting the rollers up. His grip slipped and in trying to catch it his right pinky was caught between the bracket assembly and the press removing his fingernail. He removed his glove and wrapped the finger with electrical tape to stop the bleeding and his Lead brought him out to the office. He was taken to the dispensary where he washed his hands and his injury was assessed by the doctor. It was recommended that he go to Urgent Care and get an x-ray to determine if the bone is broken.
