Employee was completing shift end work when he was called for the rupture disc issues on APL-1.

When the soft plug ruptured on APL 1. The line was shut down and maintenance was notified. Maintenance verified that the screw to APL 1 was not moving then continued to remove the soft plug in order to replace the ruptured soft plug with a new soft plug. Upon removing the damaged soft plug the hot melt came in contact and received second degree burns to the top of the Mechanic 's right hand.
