Rigging multi lift rigging

On the morning of [REDACTED] around [REDACTED] an employee was injured while rigging steel beams onto a multi lift rigging assembly at Project [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. The employee was attempting to connect the fourth and final piece to the rigging tree. As the employee positioned the eye of the choker onto the crane hook the drift from the overhead load caused the rigging to tighten unexpectedly. This resulted in the employee 's left middle finger being pinched between the hook and the choker eye causing a laceration. Once the drift realigned over the load the tension released freeing the employee 's hand. The employee reported the incident to the General Foreman who then reported the injury to the Safety Department. The injured worker was immediately assessed and sent to the urgent care facility for further evaluation and treatment.
