Transferring steel plate with magnet

IE was transferring a 1032 lbs. - 1 thick - 3 'x8 ' steel plate using a magnet. The plate was being transferred from a wooden skid on the floor to a workhorse at [REDACTED] in the [REDACTED]. As the IE went to sit the plate down on top of the workhorse the plate came loose from the magnet and fell. The edge of the plate struck the IE on the top forward right side of their head and on the top of their shoulder at the collar bone. The IE was conscious and alert. First aid was applied by an employee first responder. Pressure was applied to the IE 's head to control bleeding. [REDACTED] was notified and came on scene and 911 emergency services were notified. The IE was transferred to [REDACTED] ER.
