What happened
I was encouraging patient with Autism to use scooter board. I was standing behind him and he leaned his body weight into my leg causing my right knee to hyperextend. I felt pain in the joint right away which got worse throughout the rest of the session as I continued to move around and treat this patient. I completed the treatment alerted management and cancelled the remainder of my patients for the day as moving is difficult and it would not be safe for me to continue to see patients.
