Retracting a unit on the conveyor

An anneal unit 4x5 and approximately 50s came down the IG Line. The alarm on [REDACTED] activated due to a barcode fault. This caused the line to stop with the unit on the upstream split conveyor inside the masker guarding. The injured employee [REDACTED] manually slid the unit back upstream on the conveyor to gain access to the label unit ID on the backside. The [REDACTED] placed both gloved hands on the unit to push it upwards and in doing so the right middle finger was injured. The [REDACTED] walked over to the computer to process the barcode and removed his glove to see what was wrong with the finger. The finger was bent at the joint and unable to straighten the finger. Immediately reported the incident to the line manager.
