Description of Occurrence*: [REDACTED] [REDACTED] (Electronic Report) I was called by patient r t ostomy. When I arrived patient had no ostomy appliance on and BM was everywhere. I was attempting to clean the area around the stoma patient was upset and kind of moaned a little due to pain (area was very red and macerated). Her dog [REDACTED] was there and when I reached out he bit my right hand. He hold on to it for about 5-10 seconds before releasing while growling and shaking his head. Patient started crying and saying they were going to take the dog and put him down. I walked out of the apartment so that she could put the patient up (she then put him in the bathroom). While i was outside I called to notify the manager on call. Activity Before Incident: attempting to clean patient and apply an ostomy appliance
