Cleaning Sealing Surface in Coater Chamber [REDACTED] 3
What happened
Our team member was in the process of cleaning the O-ring sealing surface of coater chamber zone3 when his foot caught the inside of the tub and tripped. As a team member fell forward he used his right forearm to break the fall and hit against the edge of the tub resulting in a V-shaped laceration. We cleaned the laceration covered and wrapped with gauze and determined it was beyond a first aid incident. We took him in to the occupational health clinic to evaluate the laceration and to provide further care. The laceration resulted in 3 stitches. The team member was also given a prescription of 600mg of ibuprofen. Our team member will be returning to work the [REDACTED] with no lost time. Restrictions include No more than 10 lbs with his right arm. Follow up appointment on [REDACTED] 20 stitches should be out within the week.
