Removing the cover to work on the cooling fan PM.

A maintenance tech was completing preventative maintenance on the Viprotron located at [REDACTED] 1 jumbo lines to ensure the cooling fans were working properly. To view the fans you are required to remove the exterior guarding. The tech attempted to remove the lower guard when the guard becomes jammed. As he moves and pulls on the lower guarding it breaks free allowing the top guarding which was not secured unbeknown to the tech to fall to the ground creating a guillotine effect. The top guard rests in a bracket and it is unknown if the two guards are nested together or the top guard is bumped out of the bracket by the force of removing the bottom guard. This resulted in pinching his left index middle and ring finger between the guarding.
