Before the incident
Giving out coolers to courier
What happened
I was at the reference receiving window giving out coolers to the [REDACTED] courier. The courier returned three coolers as well. As I was checking the returned coolers for any specimens that may have been left the courier closed the sliding window. As he was sliding it closed the glass window fell and shattered inside the lab. I was standing next to the window and as I heard a loud bang I turned towards the window because I thought the courier had dropped a cooler. As I turned the glass struck the left side of my body and face. I had on a lab coat so the glass did not hit my body. Some shards nicked my face and nose area and it feels like some something is in my eye. My eye is not painful just feels like something is in it. I rinsed my eye out with water but the feeling is still there. Facilities was notified as well as EVS for cleanup.
