While sitting with a SI patientupon trying to calm patient he became upset an started to stand on bed i entered the room and asked if he could sit down to be safe he sat down and asked to use bathroom in which i had to lower rail he then sat down then tried to roll and throw his body towards the floor me standing in front of him his body thrusted towards mine to prevent him hitting the floor and i rolled him back onto bed suddenly and put up side rails deescalation button was pressed after i felt a sharp pain in my lower back staff entered room and restrained patient i have had soreness and sharp pain in lower back since.
