What happened
EE was involved in the irrigation of a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line when she accidentally pinched it causing a small amount of fluid to squirt into her eyes. The fluid contained a multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs). She flushed her eyes with saline and rinsed them at a station. Although not for the recommended duration of 15 minutes.
