What happened
Patient was physically aggressive towards staff and attempting to leave the ED. Patient given clear verbal directive to return to stretcher for staff and patient 's safety. Patient became physically aggressive towards security officer requiring to be put on a stretcher to have 4 point restraints applied. While holding the patient for continued safety and applying the restraints; patient bit employee 's lower anterior forearm breaking the skin causing bruising swelling and bleeding.
