Employee was logging into computer at the nursing station.
What happened
Patient tried to grab a glass jar off of the counter at the side of the nursing station. Employee attempted to grab the jar out of the patient 's hand but the patient grabbed employee 's thumb and started twisting. Employee slipped y thumb out of the patient 's grip but patient dug one of their fingernails into employee 's left hand. The patient tore off a small amount of skin in between thumb and index finger on employee 's left hand.
