What happened
While carrying a large bulky box down a set of stairs with both hands. The size of the box obstructed his view of the stairs and prevented him from using the handrail. As he descended he missed a step with his left foot causing him to slip and fall down several stairs.
Injury or illness
At the bottom of the stairwell he twisted his left ankle and fell forward onto his right knee. This trip-and-fall incident resulted in a sprain to his left ankle as well as a sprain to his right knee.
