What happened
I took a piece of chewing gum from its wrapper and placed it in my mouth. I bit down for the first time the fumes powder released triggered a sudden coughing episode. While walking to the pantry to get water I became lightheaded and dizzy from the coughing. I lost my balance and fell forward landing on my left knee and stomach. I continued coughing while on the floor and injured my left knee in the fall which remains painful.
