Before the incident
Employee was re routed from make up area to work in wrapping area due to excessive call ins go homes Qty. 7) Total The employee was attempting to remove the final loaves of bread from the slicer area to begin the product change over on bread slicer #4 in bread wrap. Employee raised the guard over the infeed and slicer did come to a stop Then the employee reached too far into the slicer area without wearing PPE cut resistant gloves and his right middle finger ran down one of the slicer blades cutting it open at the tip this resulted in a small laceration to the tip of the right middle finger.
