Cleaning up metal shavings after using metal drill on a project broom and dustpan. No other tools in use and wearing proper PPE.

While cleaning a piece of metal flew past PPE and into the associate 's right eye causing an abrasion. Shaving couldn 't be flushed out with eyewash on site so EE was taken to Occ Health where it was successfully removed. EE was given prescription antibiotics making this a recordable incident.

Foreign body in right eye resulting in an abrasion to the cornea.
