Before the incident
The employee had finished putting in the side seal in the back of the press under the belt. They did not spray any chemicals and the task doesn 't involve anything that would produce shavings.
What happened
As they were exiting from under the belt the eye didn 't feel normal. It began to have pain that worsened over time and the eye started swelling. They are thinking that dust got in it from being blown by a fan and getting under the safety glasses.
