I had finished successfully placing a central line and was cleaning up the kit and the tray was free of sharps but 1 needle had gotten under the tray and was in the sterile cover and as I picked up the sterile cover needle tip impacted my knuckle of my left hand 4th finger. A very small amount of bleeding was identified. The needle had been used to place the J-wire during the central line placement.
