The team member was evaluating the temperature on TC3 for the fryer.

While evaluating why the fryer temperature was not reaching normal operating levels through the fryer screen monitor 1 the team member walked toward the secondary fryer control screen located adjacent to the fryer. As the team member was walking back from the control screen the fryer suddenly sparked resulting in a flash fire. The flash fire caused burns to the team member’s arms and face resulting in second-degree burns. The team member was immediately assisted and removed from the area for medical treatment.
