What happened

PT was standing on patient 's porch waiting for patient 's spouse to answer door. Spouse puts dog in garage for each Home Health visit. Spouse noted being in a rush and presumably door was not latched all the way as the dog managed to go from garage through interior of home to front door as spouse was opening screen door; dog pushed past spouse and came onto porch quickly. PT was backing away keeping L forearm down in defensive position in front of body as dog moved forward. Dog bit forearm did not latch on but immediately released and ran to other side of yard. Spouse was able to immediately regain control and secured dog for visit.
