What happened
I was working at QR and witnessed a patient who was discharged walking out of the ED wooden door face full of blood dripping and stumbling about to fall because he was disoriented and confused. Without thinking I went to patient before pt fell and helped lean him by Fast Track quickly grabbed pt a wheelchair and has pt fell into the chair pt grabbed me as he fell and I felt a pop and stretch in my middle to lower back. I shrug it off the rest of the night thinking I was okay. The next day I woke up stiff and in a lot of pain. I still came into work and continued my shift as night was going my back became more painful and stiff. I decided to turn in a incident report just incase my pain doesn 't go away.
