What happened

There were multiple patient bed changes and no nurses were available to assist me which led to changing patient 's myself both of whom were not able to assist with turns. When asking another nurse for assistance I was told Absolutely not. I utilized the overhead sling when I could to help with mobilizing my patient 's. I was told my patient was a 1 person assist to the bedside commode; they were able to move to the edge of the bed but could not bear weight once they were standing and fell over on to me. They could not stand or get back into bed and I was unable to help them due to their weight. There were no other nurses available and I told the patient I could not help them until more help was available and they began to cry on the edge of the bed. I stood with the patient until help arrived to get them back into bed.
