Charting an admit at the desk took report for this pt got the PCRN to come do a skin check then it happened.

Doing 2RN Skin Check on new admit rolling pt to assess back holding pt up on her R side then felt a clunk in the lumbar region followed by a searing sensation from my butt cheek to the top of my thigh. I let go of the pt and left the room and asked another nurse to help the PCRN. As I walked away from the room the searing continued to the back of my right knee. I walked to the desk and sat down which made it worse I called charge RN who got [REDACTED] from PT to come assess me. I immediately iced my back another nurse gave me a back brace which I put on. [REDACTED] gave me some stretches to do and we decided it would be best for me to go home and take anti-inflammatories and see how it feels after the ice and ibuprofen have a chance to work. I left early because I was scared of further injuring myself.
