What happened
I got bit by an agitated Mental Health [REDACTED]. in the ED after he attempted to lunge at DCR [REDACTED]. Security went hands on with the [REDACTED]. and took him back to his room where we were attempting to hold him down on his stomach while waiting for more caregivers to arrive after the [REDACTED] was overhead paged. Realizing my arm was not in a good position I went to reposition my arm away from the Patients mouth and the [REDACTED]. latched down onto my right forearm. To get free from the patient 's grip I shoved my forearm further into his mouth so he would release his grip which he did. After more staff arrived the [REDACTED]. was repositioned and placed into 4-point locking restraints and medicated.
