employee was in the dirty side of central sterile in surgery. States he was in charge of breaking down the robot instruments so that they fit into the sharps container. Per patient the robot arms do not properly fit into the sharps container so they were told the protocol is when the bin gets full they use bolt cutters to cut the arms down to size so they will fit into the container so the sliding lid will close. Patient states i reached to pick one up and that is when i felt it poke my finger. Patient has an abrasion to his right hand 4th finger knuckle from one of the robot arms.
