Before the incident
Drilling a hole in a body over his head.
What happened
A TM was drilling a hole on a body over their head. They were producing metal shavings that fell from above. They were wearing the required PPE however a faceshield was not called out specifically in the [REDACTED]. They were unsure if the debris entered their eye while they were drilling or after they wiped their face off with their arm. The TM tried to seek medical evaluation during an annual physical with their primary care physician but they were denied treatment due to the incident being work-related and referred to an Occ. Health clinic. ERT treated them and washed the shaving out of their eye. The TM reported discomfort in the eye and went offsite for medical evaluation [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. TM was prescribed eyedrops.
