Grinding
What happened
Individual was grinding on a 112 inner diffuser pass-thru hole. A metal shavings flew into their eye. Individual stated they tried to flush for several minutes but felt they could not remove object. Individual texted supervisor around [REDACTED] stating I think I need some help. Supervisor went to his weld booth ~ [REDACTED] at which time they stated they thought they required some outside help to remove any remaining pieces of metal. Due to the individuals appearance (swollen watery eye) and area of injury the individual was taken to a Neighborhood Baptist Emergency Facility. Individual stated some metal fragments were removed further by the doctor. Individual did state that they were not wearing safety glasses during this process.
