[REDACTED] was lifting the operator platform to measure a wire to connect to the operator proximity switch.

On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] an associate was helping to perform wiring on a truck when they received an injury to the fingers resulting in recordable injury. At the time of the incident the group lead was assisting an associate with wiring a 3-conductor wire through the operator platform to hook to the proximity switch for the platform operator. The associate lifted the platform to properly measure the wire to the proximity switch to ensure there were no pinch points to the wire. When the associate lifted the platform it fell into the closed position crushing the associates left pointer and middle finger between the platform and support causing deep lacerations to both fingers.
