from the passenger side cab of the apparatus he was assigned to when stepping down he missed the last step and fell onto his back onto the ground. The employee notified the chain of command immediately. When asked if he would like to be evaluated by EMS or go to the hospital the employee denied needing medical treatment at this time. The employee was advised to notify their supervisor if a change in status occurred and if they needed to go in for an evaluation.
