Performing Quality Checks

Injured person had just finished performing a micrometer check inside of the exit reel of the [REDACTED] slitter. They were standing on the north side of the 45 inch strip and held the strip up in the air around waist height to get their reading. After getting the measurement the injured person released the strip and it dropped down and bounced back up off the exit shear table. During this motion the injured person began to walk out of the exit reel area. Their right leg contacted the strip and they received a laceration just below their right knee. In house first aid was performed. The injured person was taken to a local ER due to the size of the laceration. They received 10 stitches. The injured person was seen by our local clinic on [REDACTED] and returned to work.
