Lowering the up ender cart support bar after using the cart.
What happened
The injured person was operating the up ender cart at the [REDACTED] packaging line. They had just placed a set of upended cuts onto the up ender turnstlye leaving the east support bar in the up position. They brought the cart east towards the up ender. The up ender was left in the “Up” position and they moved the cart until it stopped flush with the up ender. They grabbed the east support bar with their right hand to pull the bar into the down position. As the bar came down it pinched the person’s right thumb between the bar and the up ender conveyor roller guard.
