Before the incident
The line had been down because of jams at the topping depositor and the heads of the topping depositor becoming clogged.
What happened
The line was having trouble with the single shot depositors leaving a lot of caramel on the conveyor belt due to poor deposit cut off. The employee was trying to help out with cleaning the caramel off the belt. The employee 's glove became covered with caramel and stuck to the belt and they were unable to pull their hand away. The right index finger was pulled underneath one of the two stationary lane diverters becoming smashed between it and the conveyor.
