processing a rode through the extrusion line to begin the process

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] an occurred with an employee working on the extruder line. While trying to feed the plastic rod through the [REDACTED] glass guard the employee reached their hand inside the [REDACTED] glass in an attempt to realign the rode with the conveyor system. While reaching their hand through the guard their hand made contact with the conveyor system. This caused the employees ' hand to be pulled in. Their hand was pulled through the opening in the [REDACTED] glass before the e-stop was engaged. This caused a significant abrasion to their right arm. The employee was transported to the ER via EMS and later released the same day after treatment.
