Attempting to discard cullet from a 2000 lb CAP Roura hopper

A Wareroom PCT injured her left wrist while attempting to dump a small hopper filled with cullet at the west road cullet pit. The employee raised the hopper with the forklift truck she was operating. While seated on the truck she reached for the trip handle with a hoe. As she attempted to release the trip handle the hoe shifted and pinched her left wrist between the hoe blade and a front overhead guard support. After ice therapy and over the counter medication she was sent to a UPMC clinic for an x-ray. The x-ray was negative. However she was placed on a work restriction.

Left wrist hand contusion

Caught between hoe blade and roll cage of fork truck

Left hand contusion from [REDACTED]
