Employee was positioning wood material in jib for routing and ran left hand along the piece to ensure it was orientated correctly while doing so received a splinter in the employees left thumb. The employee was wearing a IronClad Cut 4 and puncture 3 glove. On 1 6 EE complained of worsening soreness local swelling and warm to touch. EE and EHS called Medcor and it was recommended that the EE be seen by additional care. Employee was seen at the urgent care where additional debris was removed and EE received two sutures as a result. [REDACTED] EE seen again for infection and determined to have an Felon Finger infection that requires emergency surgery. [REDACTED] EE provided return to work date of [REDACTED] with restrictions. EE returned to work on [REDACTED] with restrictions and accepted and signed OR Offer Letter. EE was seen on [REDACTED] and given a full duty release return to work for [REDACTED] 23.
