Injured Person (IP) was using a manual lathe to cut compression tubing. IP took comp tube from the lathe and sat down on a parts cart to measure. IP removed gloves to get a better measurement with calipers. As IP completed measurement right hand ring finger came into contact with a metal shaving causing a laceration.
