What happened

INITIAL: Quality Lab Tech was retrieving samples for laboratory testing and walked past [REDACTED] [REDACTED] which was undergoing a CIP cycle to collect the [REDACTED] water sample. Upon returning to the lab the Quality LabTech reported a burning sensation and hair loss on his right arm. Quality Lab Tech immediately rinsed the affected area under running water at the lab sink for approximately 15 minutes. CONCLUSION: Through digital evidence it has been determined that the Quality Lab Tech upon returning to the QC Lab after collecting samples throughout the [REDACTED] Farm began the Calcium by Mettler Autotitrator process. This process involves the use of Hydrochloric Acid & Potassium Hydroxide. During the mixing process the Quality Lab Tech inadvertently splashed sprayed both chemicals on the right arm. Quality Lab Tech did not have Gloves on during the process because QC lab does not require them in the Lab. The Quality Lab Tech also did not think chemicals were that dangerous. Qual
