On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] employee was unjamming a package of waffles with his left hand when the pusher arm made contact with his hand after he lifted the pusher guard which should have activated the interlock safety switch. Employee received a laceration on left thumb. EE was connected to nurse line nurse line recommended for employees to go the regional hospital as Concentra clinics were already closed. Employee received X rays injury got cleaned and bandaged.
