The chipper disc was being manually rotated by the injured employee only and all employees were using air to clear sand as twig knockers were bringing up sand

At approximately [REDACTED] three painters were in the West booth removing sand from a 5000 chipper disc prepping the mainframe to paint. The chipper disc was being manually rotated by the injured employee only and all employees were using air to clear sand as twig knockers were bringing up sand from base of chipper disc. The veteran employee knew the rotation of the chipper disc is a high pinch point for hands and was being extremely mindful of newer coworker to his right. The third coworker (veteran employee) was on the opposite side also using air to remove sand. The injured employee stated he quickly eyed over to check coworkers hand placement before next rotation and his hand was lower than he thought and his left-hand pinky and ring finger were pinch by twig knocker and small opening at base.
