Before the incident
As the EE was preparing to load parts into the picture frame welder by cleaning them off they noticed something shiny on the material. The EE wiped the material off with their gloved hand and continued the process. At their breaktime the EE used the back of their hand to rub their eye and felt what they described as a needle prick. As they went to punch out at their end of shift they felt discomfort in their eye and used OTC eye drops to flush it.
