Employee reports she was entering the soild utility room and after unlocking the door she placed her right hand on the door itself and the doors closing mechanism pushed the door closed while her right thumb was on the door and against the frame. Provider indicated no restrictions and that she was able to return to work but after Employee Health nurse inspected she is not able to perform her job duties due to bruising and swelling. Advised her to go home and ice and follow up with her primary provider [REDACTED] for any further treatment or restrictions as needed.
