What happened
Due to parts shortage employee was pulling cable through the doglegs in the finals department. Employee indicated that to terminate the cable he removed his cut-resistant gloves. This task required him to cut the jacket off of the wire. He placed his free hand in the line of fire while using the knife. His hand slipped while removing the jacket. The knife hit the thumb on his free hand causing a 2-inch laceration on his right hand. Employee was taken to WorkMed and was given 4 stitch
