Before the incident
EE was cutting plastic dumpster liner to size
What happened
A maintenance employee was fitting plastic into a large container (see photos). The container holds water with glass fines in it which if left stagnant can set into a substance hard as concrete. The plastic is meant to protect the container. Coral receives glass that is sometimes wrapped in plastic and that plastic is reproposed as the liner; however it must be cut to size each time. This process is a normal task and is regularly completed once per week. The employee cut his left leg while cutting the plastic sheet to fit.
